Roll-On Paint

Do you have any roll-on bottles sitting around your house?
Don't throw them away, fill them with paint!
When I was a teenager I had about a billion bottles of roll-on glitter from Bath & Body Works,
if only I knew I'd one day be filling the empty bottles with paint...
You can also use:
roll-on lipgloss bottles,
roll-on deodorant bottles,
 and even roll-on soap bottles
(which is what we used)
Just pop the ball out of the top,
fill it about half way up with paint
(we used tempera)
Then fill it the rest of the way with liquid starch
I used the liquid starch to thin the paint so the ball would roll smoothly
we also tried with liquid dish soap,
which also worked
The girls liked using the rolling bottles to paint with,
they've never used them before so it was a fun new experience.
C used the bottles to dab dots and then connect them with lines
A practiced making circles
(which she just started doing!)
Here's one of C's finished paintings!
It's a picture of space with all the stars

Cool idea! Does the ball pop out easily? I buy my roll on deodorant from Europe and Asia by the batches, so have lots we can use!

I like this idea, but have never seen roll on bottles in ages. I guess I need to investigate to find some!
